Just like a tortoise, known for its slow and deliberate movements, retreats into its shell to withdraw its senses—such as its head and limbs—within yoga and meditation, there exists a concept known as “pratyahara.” This term refers to the withdrawal or restraint of the senses, representing a state of deep introspection where attention turns inward, away from external stimuli.

When things get crazy and chaos is all around, rather than letting it overwhelm us, we can retreat into our own inner sanctuary, where we find peace.
